Death Match TV Pilot! LDM Logo NewBe a part of Literary Death Match and Television History! Please
join us for what we’re certain will be the biggest, greatest, weirdest, most brilliant Literary Death Match
in the history of the 22-show series. For those that don’t know, we’re trying to turn our series into--gasp!
--a television show, and will be filming the event. Our goal--gasp again!--is to announce literature as a
viable TV medium. So, pretty please: come support our nimble attempt to bring literature to the
not-just-You-tube. As for the who? An LDM first will kick things off as musician Alison Lefevre will sing a
trio of songs. After, a downright thrilling lineup includes a first-round battle between Tao Lin (representing
Muumuu House) v. Alex Rose (Hotel St. George Press), and a second-round between heavyweights
Mishna Wolff (Swink) and Amy Sohn (Brooklyn Writers Space). All will be judged by 12-time LDM
literary merit judge Ben Greenman of The New Yorker, Missbehave’s Editor-in-Chief Lesley Arfin and
comedian/writer Todd Levin. When: November 11, 8 p.m. (doors and wine at 7:00) Where: Housing

At its core, 15 Minutes is about developing talent and promoting independant music. Andy Warhol
predicted "Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." Our show gives artists their 15 minutes, but we
are confident that it won't end there. 15 Minutes is an Independant songwriter's showcase. Each
month Jay Fallot selects between 8 to 10 independant artists to play either 3 songs or 15 Minutes,
usually in the Parish Room at the House of Blues, New Orleans. Artists perform before talent
buyers, music critcs, and a crowd that averages from one to two hundred per show. With the 15
Minutes platform, some songwriters have been selected to go from local coffee houses (playing in
front of 10 people), to opening for national acts (playing in front of a thousand).
